About Us

At Wind Catcher Studios, we believe music is for everyone, not just the naturally gifted or the highly trained, but anyone who feels drawn to sound, expression, and connection.

We see each student, client, and collaborator as a whole person. That means listening carefully, teaching thoughtfully, and creating an environment where people feel safe to try, grow, and discover what music means to them.

Sean Jones is a musician, educator, and audio producer whose work bridges performance, teaching, and creative technology. He holds a dual degree in Arts Management and Music Composition and Production, as well as a Master of Music in Audio Technology from Southern Utah University.

Who We Are

Cara Miner is a musician and educator from the Albany area. Her musical career started when she chose to play the viola in her elementary orchestra. From there, she pursued her instrumental studies through the collegiate level, earning a Bachelor degree in viola performance from SUNY Purchase. By chance, or fate, she took a teaching position with the Empire State Youth Orchestra’s CHIME program, and in finding her passion in the classroom, pivoted to a career in music education. Cara began pursuing her Master in Music Education degree from Longy School of Music, graduating in August of 2024. Also in 2024, she completed the Music Together teacher training, helping to accomplish the goal that set her first day in the classroom, to foster musical people. Additionally, she is an active musician in the Capital Region and plays with the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys being active outside and spending quality time with her dog. Cara is excited to embark on this musical journey with you.
